Obama supporter Westly was a California co-chair and National Finance Committee member of Obama's 2008 campaign and is now a venture-capital representative on the Secretary of Energy's Advisory Board as of August 2011. What exactly is a venture-capitalist doing on the Secretary of Energy's Advisory Board anyway?

The DOE Advisory Board was chartered in 1990 under President George H.W. Bush but was done away with in 2006 by President George W. Bush’s Energy Secretary Samuel Bodman, who preferred guidance from his own DOE staff - not members, like Westly, who has financial investments in companies seeking or have received loans from the DOE. The Board was reinstituted in August, 2010 by the Obama Administration.

Why try and flim-flam gullible, wealthy old ladies with lots of money when you can start up some phony environmental renewable energy business, get a DOE loan for 30 or 50 million, file bankruptcy and retire to South America.

This whole Solyndra setup reminds me of the same enviromental scams ran by that other international enviro-crook - Maurice Strong. Strong is one of those shadowy, behind-the-scenes manipulators who is always involved in some enviro-scam business that always involves large sums of free DOE government grant money - then that business eventually goes bankrupt, Strong exits out the back door and the grant money has mysteriously disappeared - again!

And there are a lot of other crooks like him waiting in line in Washington for free DOE government, give away programs who use inept, amateur dupes like Obama, Al Gore for their own personal financial gain.

Westly's firm did not invest in Solyndra, but has backed other enviro-companies ( insider trading? ) that HAS received money from the same program as Solyndra. Four companies in the Westly Group's portfolio received Energy Department loans, grants and stimulus money - Tesla Motors, RecycleBank, EdeniQ and Amyris. Tesla and Amyris went public with stock offerings in 2010.

Does the words “cronyism” or possibly “insider trading” come to mind? Shouldn’t the government also be investigating Mr. Westly as well, for insider trading?

The Solyndra loan, which was completed in September 2009 will cost taxpayers a half-billion dollars, has come under Congressional investigation since the company declared bankruptcy last month. The business is also under investigation for possible fraud by the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

The $700+ million factory, now closed, stands as a lasting monument of corruption for Obama's liberal idiocy and Democrat politicians waste of your tax money for this liberal Taj Mahal of fraud - Solyndra.

Solyndra was the dream of founder Chris Gronet, who received a doctorate in semiconductor processing at Stanford and had spent 11 years as an executive at Applied Materials.

He adopted as the company's motto, "What we do here will someday change the world." He changed the world alright - his wacky liberal idealism along with Obama swindled the American tax payer out of $500 million for his "pie in the sky" dream. That is what it was, just another liberal, imaginary "dream" gone wrong!

Here is more outrage. Obama has finally spoken publicly about the loan ( theft ) for the first time Monday, telling ABC News “he has no regrets“. He has no regrets! What's with the 'no regrets' statement??

This thieving crook has no regrets? He participated in the thief of $500+ million dollars of tax money along with investor friends and he has no “regrets”? Is he a complete jackass or what?

Obama further said: “There are going to be some failures, and Solyndra is an example," Obama said, noting that China is pouring "hundreds of billions of dollars into this technology." No - Mr. Obama you are an example of a incompetent “failure” that makes fraud artist Bernie Madoff look like a rank amateur!

Obama is not just arrogant but ignorant as well. Obama ignored all of the warnings about the collapse of Solyndra from his friend Westly. On a trip west to visit the Solyndra factory he gave a talk to the employees where he enthusiastically 'praised the company' knowing full well that it was on the verge of collapsing.

Obama went on to say: “As proof that the promise of clean energy isn't just an article of faith - not anymore. It's not some abstract possibility for science-fiction movies or a distant future - 10 years down the road or 20 years down the road. It's happening right now. The future is here." Yippee, who cares that they have wasted $500 million of your tax money on another unworkable clean energy fiasco.

“The future is here”? Yes Mr. Obama, you are the "king of platitudes, exaggerations and lies"! But exactly how would you, your speech writer or your ‘tell-a-lie-prompter’ know that the Solyndra solar panels “are the future“? So far Solyndra is an example of a company that has spent hundreds of millions of dollars making a technological useless, unworkable solar panel that nobody wants!

Curious Americans want to know what experience did you learn as a Chicago community organizer about the manufacturing of solar panels that tells you that the Solyndra's solar panel technology “are the future“.

If you had any business experience or had listened to qualified people with real experience in solar panel manufacturing the Solyndra loan application, aside from your own personal political agenda, would have and should have been rejected!

There business plan and model was a fraud from the beginning and people experienced in the solar panel field warned you that Solyndra was a poor risk and should be avoided.

Here is a important point. An Associated Press review of regulatory filings shows that Solyndra was hemorrhaging "hundreds of millions of dollars" since it's inception long before Obama's DOE, for no apparent logical, business reason, decided to give them a whopping $535 million loan guarantee in September 2009.

And how bad was it? ‌Here is part of their statement to the SEC in December 2009 - Officials at Solyndra said: "We have incurred significant net losses since our inception, including a net loss of $114.1 million in 2007, $232.1 million in 2008 and $119.8 million in the first nine months of fiscal 2009, and we had an accumulated deficit of $505 million at Oct. 3, 2009". "We expect to continue to incur significant operating and net losses and negative cash flow from operations for the foreseeable future".

The Obama White House blindly and arrogantly disregarded all red flags and warnings but still went ahead and rammed through this fraudulent loan agreement for strictly political, cronyism reasons, not sound business reasons.

Next, as predicted by knowledgeable insiders, Solyndra eventually defaulted on that initial loan agreement.

Again the Obama administration ignored its own Budget Office's advice and allowed Solyndra to restructure their original loan agreement even though they had already violated the terms of that original loan agreement. Then why was the loan restructured?

Given the company's prior shaky financial condition, Republican lawmakers investigating Solyndra say the decision to restructure the loan by Obama raises serious questions about whether the administration was protecting certain political supporter's investments at taxpayers' expense. Naaa, Obama wouldn't do anything illegal like that - now would he?

The decision to restructure their loan back in 2010 by Obama was simply done, I believe, to aide and protect his crony friend’s investments, like billionaire George Kaiser, from a monumental, financial disaster brought on by Solyndra's impending collapse and bankruptcy.

Under terms of the February loan restructuring, two private investors — Argonaut Ventures I LLC and Madrone Partners LP — stand to be repaid before the U.S. government if the solar company is ever liquidated.

The two firms gave the company a total of $69 million in emergency loans. NOTE: Those particular Solyndra loans are the only loans in their portfolio that have these 'special' priority repayment clause that puts them ahead of the creditors line, even before the U.S. government.

Argonaut is an investment arm of the George Kaiser Family Foundation of Tulsa, Okla. The foundation is headed by billionaire George Kaiser, a major Obama campaign contributor and a frequent visitor to the White House. Kaiser raised between $50,000 and $100,000 for Obama's 2008 campaign, federal election records show.

According to White House visitor logs millionaire Kaiser has made at least 16 visits to talk with Obama aides since 2009. Gee I wonder what those talks were about - Solyndra maybe?

It can be assumed from the evidence above that the restructuring of Solyndra's loan in 2010 by Obama merely postponed the inevitable collapse of Solyndra and paved the way for his cronies, the Kaiser family, to sell off their investments and get out before the general public, other non-insider investors and employees got wind of this Obama created fraud.

Now that Solyndra is in bankruptcy, as predicted, you pass this monumental $500+ million loan fraud off as if there is nothing to be concerned about.

And was Obama trying to justify the Solyndra debacle by saying it was necessary in order to compete with China and Germany - since when have you, a lowly Chicago community organizer or the DOE become an expert or authority on solar panel manufacturing? The government should not be in the business of loaning money to speculative businesses, that is what banks are for!
